    Cupcakes

    • 1/2 cup self-raising flour or alternative, 75 g
    • 1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder, 15 g
    • 75 g butter , room temperature
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar , 85 g firmly packed
    • 2 eggs, 59 g each
    • 4 scoops AdVital Powder, 100 g
    • 2 tsp vanilla essence or extract
    • 40 g chocolate chips
    • 60 mL oil
    • 60 mL water

    Icing (30g Per Cupcake)

    • 2/3 cup icing sugar, 80 g
    • 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 10 g
    • 100 g butter , room temperature
    • 2 scoop AdVital Powder, 50 g
    • 2 tbsp milk, 40 mL

    Directions

      Cupcakes

      • Preheat the oven to 180°C (conventional) or 160°C (fan-forced). Place eight paper patty cases in a 78mL-capacity muffin tin or on a baking tray.
      • Sift the flour and cocoa. In a separate bowl, whisk the AdVital Powder, water and oil until the mixture is smooth.
      • Beat the butter and sugar until the resulting mixture is pale and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, adding a little flour mix after each one. Mix in the remainder of the flour with the AdVital Powder mixture. Fold in the vanilla and chocolate chips.
      • Divide the mixture between the cupcake cases and bake for 20–25 minutes (or until a knife inserted into the centre comes out clean). Leave the cupcakes to cool before icing.

      Icing

      • Whisk the AdVital Powder and milk together until the resulting mixture is thick and smooth.
      • Beat in the butter, sifted icing sugar, and cocoa. Mix them together with a spoon, and add a little milk until the icing is smooth but still firm enough to hold its shape.
      • When the cupcakes have cooled down, place the icing into a piping bag and decorate the cupcakes.

      Notes

      Hints and Tips:
      • Add a half-cup of fresh or frozen berries to the mix before baking.
